GOALS and the University Campus of Football Business (UCFB), a pioneering institution in football and sports education, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to explore a strategic collaboration aimed at creating new pathways in sport, education, and employment.
The partnership underscores a shared commitment to community development, professional growth, and expanding access to meaningful opportunities for students, staff, and players across both organisations.
Martin Cassidy, National Football Development Officer at GOALS, said:
“This MOU marks the beginning of a promising journey between GOALS and UCFB. By aligning our networks, facilities, and data, we aim to support career pathways in sport and drive the growth of the game - particularly among women, girls, and underrepresented communities.”
The agreement highlights key areas for collaboration, including:
Access to research opportunities leveraging GOALS’ extensive player participation data
Joint delivery of ‘Careers in Sport’ workshops and coaching education events
Coordinated marketing and mutual promotion of services
Exploration and shared use of new and existing facilities, supporting UCFB campus expansion
Nick Wilkinson, Director of Global Student Recruitment at UCFB, added:
“We’re excited about how this relationship can enhance the student experience and deliver tangible career outcomes. GOALS provides a unique national platform for community football that aligns perfectly with our mission and future ambitions.”
Both organisations have committed to working closely over the coming months to explore joint initiatives and formalise project-specific agreements.
