British Heart Foundation:
Fundraising Review

Why the British Heart Foundation?

In recent years, we’ve seen an increase in the usage of our defibrillators, and having the British Heart Foundation as our charity partner, we can educate our staff, players, and partners on the importance of living a healthy and happy life. We are proud to have staff who are trained in both First Aid and Defibrillator use in all 43 clubs.

Working alongside the British Heart Foundation we're aiming to raise £75,000.

Fundraising Recap

Our 43 clubs, including our Head Office, have been busy taking part in various activities in a bid to raise as much as possible for the British Heart Foundation with over £14,000 raised so far. This is a huge achievement and wouldn't have been achievable without everyone doing their bit to contribute to this life-saving cause.

Fundraising efforts that have taken place are pub quizzes, tournaments, raffles, marathons, football club testimonial year dedications, and quiz mornings, to name a few.

Join us as we recognise individuals who have gone the extra mile (quite literally!) by committing to the cause, in their own time recently.

Goals Glasgow West

Caitlin Cox, Assistant Manager, completed The Glasgow Kiltwalk in April raising a total of £250! Caitlin is no stranger to running. She's been training hard to continue her fundraising stride for the British Heart Foundation alongside General Manager, Toni-Louise Norrie as they've committed to a 10K run in August, and a Half Marathon in October.

Goals Norwich

Kirk Nattrass, General Manager, joined 20,000 other cyclists in May as he took part in the RideLondon-Essex 100. The 100-mile long bike ride started at Victoria Embankment in London, finishing across Tower Bridge after looping through Essex. Kirk completed the cycle in 7 hours and 18 minutes, raising an incredible £400 for the British Heart Foundation.

Goals Manchester

Nicole Johnston, General Manager, completed her first ever Half Marathon at the Great Manchester Run in May. Nicole made comments on how she enjoyed the route as she ran past Manchester City FC's Etihad Stadium, and Manchester United's Old Trafford Stadium. She was delighted to finish the run in just 2 hours and 24 minutes and raised £220 for a fantastic cause.

Head Office

Marcus Strudwick, National Learning & Development Manager, ran The Glasgow 10K last weekend in support of the British Heart Foundation. It seems the encouragement from his dog, Margot, on the sidelines motivated him to finish the run in an impressive 47.5 minutes! Next on the cards for Marcus (and Margot) is the Glasgow Half Marathon in October.
