On the 12th November Goals Reading hosted the Peter Priddle memorial tournament. Peter was a former General Manager at Goals Reading in which he spent just under 5 years at the club. Peter was a great leader for the club and managed to build great relationships within the local 11 a side community which lead Goals Reading having one of the best and longest running veterans league Reading which still runs to this day!

The Memorial tournament consisted of 9 teams who had direct contact with Peter during his time with Goals Reading. The team entry Fee was £25 with all the money being donated to Cancer Research.

There was one division of four teams and another division of five teams with teams receiving 3 points for the win, 1 point for a draw. Only the top 2 from each division would progress to the semi-finals with the hope of reaching the finals.

The group stages concluded with the top two teams from both division progressing. This resulted in @Goals_Reading v Seasman FC and Stroke city v Phoenix Rangers as the semi-final fixtures. Both semi-finals were to be played with great sportsmanship and not to mention both score lines were incredibly tight with Stroke City beating Phoenix Rangers 1-0 and @Goals_Reading progressing to the final through a penalty shoot-out after the result remained 2-2 in normal time.

The semi-final results meant the final would be a rematch between the two teams where Stroke city won 2-0 during the group stages of the tournament. Sadly for Stroke city they could not repeat there group stage result against @Goals_reading with @Goals-Reading winning the Peter Priddle tournament 3-0.

We would like to THANK all the teams that participated in the Peter Priddle tournament who played with great sportsmanship throughout the tournament and all the donation for the chosen charity which was Cancer Research!
